i.Provenance

A private aerial practice
for occasions that endure.

Aetherarial is the working name of Paul von Rieter — an aerial photographer commissioned discreetly for multi‑day destination weddings, private gatherings, and bespoke editorial work. The view from above is treated as a principal point of view, never a souvenir.

Each engagement begins with a brief, a site survey, and the proper permits. Capture is redundant, weather‑shadowed, and quiet. Delivery is archive‑grade: a curated stills edit alongside a short aerial film. A limited number of commissions are accepted each season.

ii.Commissions

Three forms of engagement.

Every commission begins with a private consultation. The output is shaped to the occasion, the geography, and the discretion required of the assignment.

  1. Aerial photograph of a Mediterranean coastline at golden hour — destination event coverage
    i

    Destination Events

Multi‑day coverage of weddings, retreats, and private gatherings abroad. Pre‑scouting, permits, and on‑site continuity through the rehearsal, ceremony, and the long shadows of the final dinner.

    Three- to seven-day engagements

  2. Aerial photograph of a wedding aisle from directly overhead — luxury wedding drone photography
    ii

    Weddings

Single‑day weddings approached editorially. From the geometry of the aisle, to the procession to the lawn, to the after‑midnight fireworks — an aerial counterpart to the principal photographer’s frame.

    A single coordinated day

  3. Aerial photograph of a private estate and gardens — bespoke architectural drone commission
    iii

    Private Commissions

Estates, yachts, vineyards, architecture, brand stories. Briefs accepted by referral. Engagements may include flight‑planning, archival deliverables, and licensable footage for editorial publication.

    By referral or introduction

v.In Confidence

In Confidence — Testimonials

“There are aerial photographers, and there are storytellers. Paul is the latter. Our weekend has been preserved as a small film — one I return to.”

H. M. Cortina d’Ampezzo

“He read the light, the wind, and our family without ever appearing in the frame. The images are unbearable in the best way.”

S. & D. Cap Ferrat

“The aerial frames have outlasted everything else from the weekend. They are the first thing my wife sees in the hall, every morning.”
